General Anxiety

Does your worry feel out of control?

Anxiety can show up as excessive worry that leads to replaying worst case scenarios in your mind. Over time, your brain gets really good at convincing you a catastrophe is around the corner. Even when you rationally know negative outcomes are unlikely, it can feel almost impossible to actually accept this.

What if I fail? What if I say something stupid? What if…?

Anxiety loves this question, because it gives space for your brain to come up with endless, horrible possibilities for your future. Before you know it, you start to spiral down a negative, ‘what if’ rabbit hole. Once the spiral starts, you don’t know how to stop it and your worry soon feels out of control. It’s really easy to fall into this worry trap, and it can be extremely difficult to break free of on your own.
