Living with anxiety
Anxiety can make simple day-to-day life feel stressful, and can make the big, meaningful moments feel completely out of reach. You may find yourself worrying about worst-case scenarios, overthinking things you wish you could let go of, or feeling overwhelmed by waves of panic.
Friends and family may try to help, but even well-intentioned advice feels invalidating and leaves you feeling misunderstood. Hearing things like, "don't worry so much," can lead to feelings of self-doubt or the sense that anxiety is somehow your fault.
Anxiety is not a reflection of weakness, a lack of effort, or an indication that you are “too sensitive.” Your brain is simply doing its job a little too intensely, trying to protect you by staying on high alert, even when there’s no real danger. Because this response is tied to survival instincts, it's difficult to break this pattern on your own.
The good news is that anxiety is highly treatable. In therapy, we’ll work together to develop practical strategies to help you feel calmer, more present, and in control. The goal is not just to make life feel more manageable, but to help you reconnect with a life that feels joyful and fulfilling.

I utilize evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness-based techniques, tailored specifically to meet your individual goals.
